According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Leisure and Hospitality "supersector" is comprised of the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation and Accommodation and Food Services. This large section of the service industry employs not only those directly involved in hotels and lodging, event planning, food and beverage, travel and tourism, but also employs many people that perform functions needed for its support and regulation.
