Abstract: The purpose of this practicum was to implement many of the leadership theories experienced during the teachings of the Master’s Degree of Arts in Management. These theories fall under categories of leadership, team building, organizational culture/climate, organizational development, and crisis management. Leaders require a superb understanding of these theories and the knowledge to use the correct leadership approach/theory in order to inspire his or her workers to meet desired goals or objectives. These theories were applied to actual leadership situations during the preparations for the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Over 2,500 volunteers assist with this rodeo each year and leadership is required to make it a success. From the time the previous rodeo ends, preparation begins for the next year’s rodeo. Many of the leadership theories that will be mentioned in this paper will seem to intertwine with other leadership theories. The findings indicated some theories appeared to be based on existing theories, where the theologies were expanded to greater areas. Leadership during this practicum was found to be a blended approach of theories to meet desired goals rather than a one theory fits all situations.
